  Harold from Handy Brothers called me today, August 8-2017.
  What a great conversation it turned out to be. We discussed the situation in detail with the outcome being Handy Brothers will cover the repair.

  ORIGINAL POST
  I had an air conditioner installed by Handy Bros Sept 2010.
  A service call was required the next day due to the tech leaving before completing the job. I am sure he thought it was completed just did not do a great job reviewing his work.
  Now in 2016, Union Gas had to replace my gas meter. In doing so, the Union Gas tech had to enter my home to relight appliances. At that point he tagged my furnace dating back to the job in 2010 when the air -conditioner was installed At that time an exhaust pipe was cut and joined back together in a not to code practice. If this was not corrected in a certain time period my gas would be shut off. Handy Bros came and fixed it "twice". The first time the joints were replaced. Unfortunately I had to shut my furnace down that evening as the joints were leaking exhaust and condensation into my house. The second fix worked well as I took the day off work to supervise. I figured this was necessary as the first two times the job was not completed up to standards.
  
  Lawrence from Handy Bros admitted to me that the error causing my furnace to be tagged was done by their tech but he still expected me to pay for the repair. I did not pay!
  Now almost 8 months later they are asking for the unpaid bill to be paid.
  Fortunately, I have access to a great Lawyer, I had a meeting with him August 2nd. 2017 The outcome was, I am not legally responsible to pay for this repair as it was a Handy Bros issue.

  So Handy Bros. are you ready to reconsider this bill or should I go into further detail !!!!!!!!
  
  This is all unfortunate as My family has had a long standing relationship with Handy Bros.
